Adult and Paediatric Specialist Anaesthetist
I am a Specialist Anaesthetist that has undertaken additional sub-specialty training in paediatric anaesthesia and congenital cardiac anaesthesia.
My anaesthesia training was undertaken predominantly in Australia where I was awarded Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. I have subsequently completed sub-specialty paediatric anaesthesia training in Australia, South Africa and the United States.
My paediatric anaesthesia fellowship training in Australia was completed at both The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne and the Women's and Children's Hospital, Adelaide. I also undertook fellowship training at the renowned Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa.
I also undertook further advanced training in paediatric/congenital cardiac anaesthesia at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard University and subsequently joined the faculty at Boston Children's Hospital where I worked as an attending paediatric cardiac anaesthetist in their prestigious heart centre prior to returning home to Melbourne recently.
My clinical practice consists of adult and paediatric anaesthesia in both the public and private hospital systems. I am employed full-time as a consultant anaesthetist at The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne and have a small private practice working in a number of different specialties including ear, nose and throat surgery, paediatric surgery, paediatric dental and gastroenterology.
